If you think you know everything…

YOU MUST BE GOD!

(heresy bell rings)

In a fortnight, Sn@P will be having a Q&A night.
Any and all questions will be taken seriously & hopefully answered (so if you’ve wanted to know what Swanny’s favourite flavour of ice cream is, now is the time to find out).

So ask a question. Goo’omn!

Is it alright to not do some things christianity encourages if it means u dont fake a relationship with God?
eg. if uve had a really bad week so all week your asking God for help but not thanking him for anything, because you know if you thank him theyre just words with no meaning. Is that alright or does it mean something has to change?

What does The Bible say on the topic of escapism? The world tells us “do whatever makes you happy” yet “moderation in all things”. Do escapist activities distract us from God or can we simply enjoy them in moderation as gifts from God? eg. watching tv, going to the movies, reading stories, listening to music, playing games, shopping for the latest fashion, taking a vacation to “get away from it all”, enjoying the rush from extreme sports, drowning out the worries of the world through excessive drinking, taking recreational drugs, looking at inappropriate material on the internet. Yes, obviously the last three on this list are not constructive as part of a growing relationship with God.

How do I love and respond to my friend who is gay? What am I supposed to say to him? How do I show that I’m happy he’s happy (e.g. in a relationship), and that I love him no matter what, but at the same time…that I don’t think it’s exactly what he should be doing? How do I be un-judgemental, but at the same time not totally accept his lifestyle?

Is there any difference between murder and killing, in terms of sinning vs not sinning? If so, how does the Bible look at this difference?
