If you recently visited St Petes’ we really hope you have been made to feel included and valued. As you’ll see from our mission statement, St Peter’s is first and foremost a community that is committed to loving God, the members of this church and the wider community.
But what exactly do we mean by love?
Well, much more than a passing emotion or a romantic interest. This love is one that we see modelled by Jesus, which looks to the best interests of others, is self-sacrificial, unconditional, translates into practical and concrete acts of service and is for the glory of God. That’s quite a challenge!
In order to grow in faith and love we seek to learn more about God, the author and perfector of our faith, by reading the Bible together. We do this in all of our main meetings.
